She specializes in dread locs — natural, extensions, crochet, and wicks — and also offers detox, loc repair, and scalp and moisturizer treatments. With over seven years of dedicated experience, her approach pairs precision technique with deep hair-wellness knowledge, so every client's locs stay healthy, beautiful, and built to last.
Ymanie Heard
Braids SpecialistYmanie Heard is the co-owner and braiding specialist at Heard Bout Us, a stylist based in Des Moines, Iowa. She specializes in natural styles and protective styles, working alongside her sister at their studio at 314 Indianola Rd, just outside of downtown. Their shared focus is professional service that leaves every client feeling like a new person after each visit.
